You have to think whether you'd like any abbreviations of the names. I think Betty, but only because it could be improved to Betsie. Bet isn't an attractive abbreviation but then neither are Bea, Beat or Beatie for Beatrice. Just have to hope Ugly Betty isn't on the screens too long, or that Betty Spaghetti dolls don't make a come back. Not meaning to be offensive, just honest but both are quite dated and unattractive, I'd love to know why you feel the need to inflict either on your precious little baby for the rest of her life.

I'm not a big fan of either, but if I had to choose I would go with Betty. She'll get made fun of with a name like Beatrice. Ugh!

Betty has a 1940's glamour to it.
Beatrice is classic.
If choosing between the two, I'd probably name my child Beatrice. It has a timelessness to it that I adore.
My grandmother was named Elizabeth and nicknamed Betty.

I would go for Beatrice, unless you are having twins and the other is Veronica
If you name your kid Betty, she will always be asked where Veronica is, it gets old really fast.

I like Beatrice better. Betty sounds older and reminds me of Betty Boop. If you named her Beatrice you could call her Bea or Tracy.
