Looking for a simple explanation or diagram of showing the difference and or processes of mitosis and meiosis. Thanks you.

Mitosis starts with a diploid cell and makes two diploid daughter cells just like the parent cell.

Meiosis starts with a diploid cell and makes four haploid daughter cells, each having half the original number of chromosomes.

Technically, these terms refer to what happens to the nucleus, separating the chromosomes correctly.

Use a search engine to see animations of mitosis and meiosis. There are some very good ones online.
