Right click on the desktop, choose Properties. Then click the Desktop tab, then the Customize Desktop button. Make sure there is a checkmark by My Computer and anything else you want to show on your desktop. Apply changes and it will appear.

Go to start, in the bottom left hand corner and click on it. At the top right, there will be a selection of files, things like My Documents and My Recent Documents. The bottom icon in that section should be My Computer.

You can click on that to go to My Computer, and you can also right click on it and there will be a Show On Desktop option. Click that and a little tick should appear to the left, and you should be able to see My Computer on the desk top for the next time you need it.

Follow these steps!
Go to the start logo button on the bottom, then settings, then open the control panel. All of your computer settings are there. It's not under all programs! Once you find it you can right click and send to desktop. That will put a link on the desktop for easy access next time.

If you are wanting to access the hard drive (ie: browse folders and stuff), press [Windows-key] + [E] at the same time. This brings up Windows Explorer (like My Computer).

If you're wanting to right-click on the "My Computer" icon, in Control Panel there is an icon called "System", which does exactly that.
