Bleeding while on birth control?

I am on my first month of birth control. I have heard that breakthrough bleeeding is normal. But what is too much? I have had a lot of break through bleeding. It started out just being a couple times this month but now i'm on my six day straight, its not too heavy but, is has been at times. Is this too much breakthrough bleeding?

Depending on the type of birth control, it could be normal. Or depending on the type of birth control, it could not be normal.

maybe try calling the doctor's office and ask them, their nurses are usually very helpful if the doctor is too busy
