FIRST you need to define NEED. Ask yourself how they got into this needing situation in the first place? Have they done it before? If they didn't have insurance, ask yourself WHY? You can also help someone by NOT helping them, letting them learn self-reliance. Handouts only creates dependancy -- this applies to all levels of our culture -- giving to our children up to the govt giving to corporations.

Giving money isn't helping -- teaching someone self-sufficiency is true help.

As long as you don't expect to get it back or ask for a favor in return. We have a son 33 who never learned to save and never will.
