I've never been with an "older" women - Only younger girls throughout my whole life. But now I'm very attracted to one who is older than me. (only 2 years older...I think).

I guess I'm all for it. Doesn't bother me now, but a few years ago it would have.

Do you have a preference? Be the older partner or the younger?

well, i put my age in my other answer. does that bother you? just wondering. when you turn twenty there will be a three years difference. when i turn twenty four in feb there will be a four years difference. anyhow, i usually date guys around my own age. i've dated younger but only a year younger. i don't really have a preference. i just need to like them.

If you are under the age of 16 two years is a huge difference.

If you're a mature 16-18, a person who is two years older can work out.

Once you're over 18 two years is a difference that has less and less meaning as you get older.

For example: I met my fiance when I was 13 and he was 16. to date then would have been CREEPY. I then lost track of him and met him again in high school when I was 16 and he was 19 (yes he missed a year) which was alright to go out as friends. We finally started dating once I was 18 and he was 21 which was a difference that no one even blinked about.

Once you are out of your 20's no one will even notice that you have a 2 year difference.

What is much more important is having things in common with your potential partner and having fun together. If the two of you cant do things together, like she's into clubbing and you cant get in, then life will be more difficult because of age. But other than that, it really doesnt matter if you are genuinely interested in one another.

I have no preference. Who's older is not the point. Do you love each other and do you care if the other person is older or younger is the real question.
I think this is another thing that depends on the two people involved.

Had a short disaster of a marriage with a younger person (he was abusive, violent, sociopathic) ... and now ...

I am enjoying being Younger than my current special someone ... who is totally the OPPOSITE of the ex -- kind, gentle, caring and loving!

With my age, a year or two either way, or it's probably not going to happen. I'm 15.
