My wife and I sleep in separate beds. I like pillow top mattresses and she like hard mattresses. It keeps my back from hurting and her shoulders from hurting.
We do have conjugal visits and she's just down the hall.
If we had a larger master bedroom, we'd just put two beds in the same room.
My job takes me into a lot of peoples bedrooms (we remodel bathrooms) and it's amazing how many people have two beds or we see evidence of couples sleeping in different bedrooms.
Just don't lose track of the sex and the cuddling and personal attention.

My man (not married) snores like a bear in hibernation, so I use ear plugs so I can sleep in the same bed as he does. It works rather well. However, before I found it was the best solution for me there were many nights when I was driven crazy with sleep deprivation, and considered just stomping off to the guest bedroom. That, and he plays his metal music throughout the night to help him sleep. He is also a 'cuddly sleeper' meaning he wants to fall asleep with me in his arms, but that is one thing I just can't do - arms go numb, my hair gets caught and pulled, you can't shift around because you'll disturb the other person, etc. So now, I wear ear plugs and I make him sleep on his side, with some distance (no matter how small) between us. It may not be ideal for either of us, but it's a compromise that allows us both to be happy and sleep easily.

If he snores that badly, has he been checked for sleep apnea or any other condition? Sometimes snoring can be a sign of a health problem, especially if it's enough to drive the spouse out of the marital bed.

I hear you! I had the same problem and I bought some ear plugs and have no trouble sleeping now. You can get them from Wal-Mart in the pharmacy section. You get a box of maybe 30 earplugs and the kind I get have a little plastic case you can store the ones your using in. Give them a try, they worked for me.

I know what you are saying...minus the sex 4 times aweek.
Mine likes to cuddle and the heat off of his body drives me nuts and his snoring is just tooooo much.
So I sleep more on the couch then with him! the perfect deal would be for me to just have my own room.

maybe you husband should go to a doctor to see about some snoring resolutions. like losing weight, removing the adnoid, maybehe stops breathing in his sleep. your husband has some health issues and he needs to check on them. than maybe you can leave in the same bed again : )GodBless
