I heard China has threatened to dump 1.3 trillion US dollars into the market, is this true?

I heard Glenn Beck (I don't listen to him often there was just nothing else on today) say today that China threatened to dump 1.3 trillion USD if the US boycotted products (poison) made in China. I have not found any other source to site other than what Beck said, I can't believe he would state something so important without some sort of source.......who knows, he's not the best source for info though, I know that.

yea i heard that too. they were threatening us if we discontinue their inferior products.

Glen Beck, being a talking head, made it up on the fly. That is why I no longer listen to smear radio and talking heads on the TV. You did your homework and found nothing to back that up.

Common sense says China has no interest to distroy the US's economy. That would be like taking a gun to their head.

China's interest is to keep the US economy afloat, since they depend on us for a lot of their international trade.

What China will slowly do is surpass the US economy, some estimates are as high as 40 years, others are as low as 12 years. I tend to go on the low side. In surpassing the USA economy does not mean distroying it. The USA will still have huge markets for Chinese products.

Signed, a former Rush Ditto Head who finally checked him out and found 50% of what he said was either taken out of context, made up on the fly or lies. The other 50% I therefore had to question because of the prior 50%.

Consider this about Chinese products.
Many USA companies depend on their manufacturing expertise, from auto companies, to computers, to clothing. Only a fraction of chinese products would be considered shoddy. I live in China as an ex pat and before I moved here I went to Macy's and started looking at labels. High quality Italian shoes are made in China. High quality clothing are made in China by companies from other countries. Look closely at the labels, it may say Germany, but made in China.

Why would they do that? They would destroy the market for all the cheap, shoddy crap they sell. How would that help them? (If our economy were to collapse, all the other markets would dry up as well).
