I don't really have a favorite, there are many that I like. I agree with you on the Sally Fields and Joanne Woodward movie...that was Sybil. Joanne Woodward was the patient in the Three Faces of Eve, I thought she was brilliant. I like both of those movies.

I watched "The Glenn Miller Story" on Saturday, it was on either the cable channel, Turner Classic Movies or American Movie Classic. Jimmy Stewart, June Allyson, and Harry Morgan played the lead parts. Still a great story, I love the music. I bet I've seen this film at least a dozen times.

Here are a few of the other 'real life' stories I like:

A League of Their Own

Lawrence of Arabia

Schindler's List

Apollo 13

The Great Escape

Band of Brothers

Judgement at Nuremberg

Glory

Goodfellas

Patch Adams and Awakenings with Robin Williams.

I liked those also. Recently I read that Sybill's story was partially trumped up. There is a book called "Life After Sybil"
My dad was crazy about "The Three Faces of Eve" and it was totally true.
I enjoyed "Catch Me If You Can" with Leoanardo DiCaprio.
It is taken from the story of Abagnale.

"The Worlds Fastest Indian"...
Anthony Hopkins stars as Burt Munro... the Southland motorcycle legend who rode his modified classic bike into the history books, against all odds. After a lifetime spent perfecting his Indian Scout motorcycle, Burt set a new land speed record in 1967 at the Bonneville Salt Flats, Utah at almost 185mph and had unofficial but timed speeds of 201mph on other visits. It’s a record that remains unbroken to this day.
