I think every country needs and should have a constitution. It is a safeguard against abuse by the state. In the USA you can sue the state for infringing rights given to citizens by their Constitution. A Constitution is a great thing !!! Interesting question -- have a star.

There is still no constitution in Britain and the government are introducing one creeping law after the other to infringe on civil liberty and freedom and it's getting to be a fascist state very soon . That's because there is no safeguard in the law and Britain needs a constitution urgently .

The US constitution and democracy need serious reform. corporation should not be made as if there are existing persons; as such corporations should not be allowed to meddle with politics..
The world is self destructing for the reason above.

The way it's being gutted (FISA, rendition, legal torture, suspended habeus corpus in "special" cases) this question will be moot if things don't turn around quickly.
