28 days later, definitely. Resident Evil is based on a video game and is pretty mediocre. I really liked 28 days later. It also got great reviews.

I like them both. Then again, I like all zombie movies.
However, Resident Evil disappointed me when they went with the whole, super-woman thing.
Also, for 28 Days Later, there was more of a noticeable impact on society. For example, although anarchy was rampant, the military men quickly took control of those without power.
