It is actually the tilt of the earth that affects the seasons .... If the north pole is tilted toward the sun then the northern hemisphere will be in summer, and when the south pole is tilted toward the sun then Australia and South America will be experiencing warmer weather. (The south pole is beginning to tilt toward the sun now)

Weather is a by-product of the change in tilt of the earth.

It is the season that causes weather.Seasons are created by the tilt of the earth's axis and the earth's revolution around the sun.These seasons are responsible for the weather and climate.
