I don't have the specific specs of the board. The fan is attached directly on top of the processor and has two plastic levers that snap down. (I'm trying to take it off to clean it).

I moved the levers and it releases, but it doesn't pull off or anything.

Does anyone know if it slides a certain direction or if there is something else I need to disconnect to get it off?

Just twist the heatsink gently. It will come off. When you pull the levers over the other way you still have to unhook the clips of the heatsink from the retention bracket if its the type of setup I think it is.

The thermal pad on the base of the heatsink could be sticking to the processor. Try running the PC for about 30 minutes with a load on the processor to warm the heatsink. While still warm after shutting down, unlock levers then gently push the heatsink sideways or rotate it to release.

turn the black tabs one quarter turn counter clock smart and elevate them gently. this would unlock the whine board connector pins and you're able to then be waiting to enhance the fan/warmth sink assembly off of the CPU. to return the convey at the same time to its applicable place on the MOBO, turn the black tabs decrease back to there unique place yet leave them up. align the white connectors into their holes on the MOBO, push down on the right of the fan so the the relationship to the board is tight and easily push the tabs pass into opposite. it is speedy and undemanding. in case you would be able to desire to wreck the relationship between the warmth sink and the CPU that's continuously a sturdy theory to scrub the warmth paste off of the CPU and the warmth sink and replace it with new paste. the blunders maximum human beings make with the paste is they use to lots. in trouble-free terms a splash dab will do.
