is their technology to hear an individuals thoughts? somewhat like thought broadcasting..

The human brain transmits such weak signals that it takes a great deal of amplification to see brain waves - so thought broadcasting is highly unlikely. There is research being done to work towards reading thoughts, but they are trying to get down how the brain looks when people lie versus tell the truth. There are also much different brain patterns for doing math or analyzing a picture, but you can't tell what the program is or what the picture is, for example.
