It takes me longer to type it because my keyboard is apparently dying and doesn't always make the connection. Letters keep dropping out.
But besides that, it depends on whether it's a short, simple answer or a complicated one. As most of my fans know by now, I seldom write short, simple answers.
The original thoughts get it started, then I type as it occurs to me. Then I read it back and see where I went all wrong and have to change the sequence, or use a different example, or cut up a run-on sentence into two or three. Put in a paragraph break, change an adjective or adverb, that sort of thing.
Darn! I've done it again! LOL

Hi!
It takes me longer to answer especially if the question is deep thought question. I have compose my mind and thoughts to come up with a a good reasoning especially uf ut us a philosophical question. I make it a point that every answers i made will satisfy the receiver and comprehend what i want to impart. Sometimes it is just as easy as talking to a person when my mind is very relax and smoothly just comes out in my mind. Factors like when an not in the mood to answer drags me to do it slow. It is better to concentrate and focus one's mind to the question. Answering is just like answering an essay. It requires a lot of thoughts and ideas. But difficulty it maybe, it is compensated when chosen as best answer.
Thanks for asking. Have a great day!

Moon,
good question. I seem to have a triangulation effect. What I mean by this is that between my eyes on the screen - my mind focused - hands on the key board the personal triangulation is 3 dimensional for me.
I really can't say - it all just seems to click naturally for me.
Best to you!

Both take about the same time. I write as I think. The benefit or disadvantage of age and being a fast touch-typist.

I very rarely think before I type. Ever. My hands usually know before I do what's going to be said...same goes with asking a question, I click the button and just start typing. If I think about it it usually turns out retarded....(unlike this answer, of course, which is full of insight and genius...)

It depends on the type of question that is asked as sometimes if it's a difficult question it might take me longer to think of how to answer it or in some cases it might be a question in which I am passionate about in which case I have a lot to say and it takes me longer to write the answer.

I think the thought process always takes longer than the writing....unless I have a very quick answer right on the top of my head.

To write about something...when I think about various topics they can bring up strong emotions that are sometimes difficult to describe with the written word.

I tend to think a bit longer about an answer. Once I start writing it just flows.
