It has been 5 days since my girlfriend was supposed to get her period. This is the longest she's ever gone without having her period. Bear in mind that last month something strange happened with her period; it came late, started for three days, stopped for 2 and then started again for 2 days. We use protection EVERY time we have intercourse, but she isnt on birth control. Also keep in mind that we are both in our later teen years. What could be taking her period so long? Could she be pregnant?

I don't think there is any thing to worry about as it can happen in her age. Wait till the 10th day and go to the doctor.
OR if she has got any pregnancy signs . i.e: tender breasts, sickness, too sleepy etc, then just do a pregnancy test at home.

I am 16 and sexually active. Your girlfriend sounds like a problem i had.
Tell her not to stress.
Stress leads to a delay in her period.
She could be pregnant but if you use protection everytime, it's very unlikely.
Tell her to go to a clinic like planned parenthood and get a test. try not to stress it until you know for sure.

Protection is NEVER 100%.
Get a pregnancy test done.
