I assume you mean what year do they mean???
These are roman numerals to denote the year and are still used at the end of films and TV programmes.
X=10 so XXX=30 v=5 III=3 so the first one is 1938
the second one is 1942 and the last one is 1924

MCMXXXIII = 1938

MCMXLII = 1942

Method of reading Roman Numerals.

M = 1000
D = 500
C = 100
L = 50
X = 10
V = 5
I = 1

So for 1938
M = 1000
When as lesser value 'C' is to the left of a greater value 'M' it means 1000 less 100 = 900
So CM = 1000 - 100 = 900
Hence MCM = 1000 + 900 = 1900
Similarly
XXX = 10 + 10 + 10 = 30
Hence
MCMXXX = 1900 + 30 = 1930
V = 5
Hence
MCMXXXV = 1930 + 5 = 1935
Finally
III + 1 + 1 + 1 = 3
MCMXXXVIII = 1935 + 3 = 1938

Similarly
1942
MCM as before = 1900
When the lesser value 'X' is to the left of the greater value 'L' it means 50 less 10 = 40
So XL = 50 - 10 = 40
Hence MCMXL = 1900 + 40 = 1940
Finally
II + 1 + 1 = 2
MCMXLII = 1940 + 2 = 1942

As we are in the year 2013
In Roman numerals it is MMXIII
And 2014 will be MMXIV
