I had seen that clip a few weeks ago. Unfortunately it is a fact of life that secondary education in the United States is of very ppor quality. A kid completing secondary education in the USA does not even reach the ankles in intellect of a kid who completes secondary education in Europe. I attended one year secondary education in the USA and know that personally to be a fact. I am not trying to embarass our American cousins. I have several relatives who are American citizens. It is a fact. Secondary educatin in the USA is a joke and an insult to american kids. The result is that this girl is a typical example of most American youth. They live with the illusion that because their government is the most powerful in the world that therefore they must have everything else in their country better than anywhere in the world. If they only knew how mistaken they are !!!!

To be fair the poor girl froze on national television.If it was me I'd have just fainted.Pretty scary going out live on t.v. and I'm going to give her the benefit of the doubt.That said it is pretty damned disgraceful if that statistic is true about a fifth of Americans not knowing how to locate America on a map.Is it any wonder that the Bush administration can whip up a frenzy about the threat from Iran.They probably think it's right next door to them!

Sadly, it is true that the America's educational system is far behind China or Europe's. She may have had been nerves but, yet she could have thought that I can get by on my looks. I must say not all America's are not as stupid as those in the public eye make us out to be. Some people are actually less intelligent as that one there.

You're not helping either. It's "retarded" not retarted. I can't believe that poll. That truly upsets me. Maybe people were confused because America (and by America I mean our president) is trying to take over other countries? That's the excuse I'm going with.
Maybe if more of our tax dollars were spent on education than wars and supporting drop-outs who don't work, it would be better.
But please keep in mind 4 fifths of that poll atleast knew. There is still a larger percentage of people who can hold themselves upright in this country. Not everyone is uneducated.

Why explain it mandy jane.The truth is that so many people like here in England are imports,not exports.Just because they speak the lingo doesnt make them home grown.I could walk around cities here and ask wheres britain and id get stum.Dont accept that we here are against the USA,we arent,thats why so many of us holiday there,and so many people seem to want to live there.Its only a couple of religeous nuts that take pride in trying to humiliate

Oh sure we all know that every thing on you tube is nothing but honest and forth right. How long did it take you to dig that piece of garbage up, because we all know that you hate Americans.
