Wilson's assertions -- both about what he found in Niger and what the Bush administration did with the information -- were undermined yesterday in a bipartisan Senate intelligence committee report.
The panel found that Wilson's report, rather than debunking intelligence about purported uranium sales to Iraq, as he has said, bolstered the case for most intelligence analysts. And contrary to Wilson's assertions and even the government's previous statements, the CIA did not tell the White House it had qualms about the reliability of the Africa intelligence that made its way into 16 fateful words in President Bush's January 2003 State of the Union address.

Yes.
They are both lying hypocrites.
They had this planned for a long time.
Their Goal was to end up being Hollywood Heroes and having a Movie made about them.
A covert agent does not walk in and out of the front of a known CIA Bldg for 5 years and just set a desk.
(And I know that for a fact, having had a Top Secret Clearance.)

Have you ever been to Niger? I have been there twice, but I wasn't looking for uranium. I would like to know what the Iraqis were trying to buy in Niger if it was not uranium. Sand, maybe? Niger doesn't grow enough of anything to export it and as far as I know, they don't have any significant mineral wealth other than .... you guessed it, URANIUM. The Nigerians admitted that the Iraqis were there negotiating trade. That was in Wilson's report, I think.
The CIA is known to NOT be Bush friendly. The President appointed a former Representative, I believe he was, Peter Goss or Gross something like that to reform the CIA. He met resistance at every turn and was not successful, apparently the Democrats have their moles too deeply entrenched. The very idea that a US Agency would actively oppose the will of the President!
The Wilsons were busy feathering their own nest, with Valarie find the work for her husband in the agency. I don't understand why anyone else was needed anyway, the US Embassy there is a huge place and is a big terminal for sorting intelligence from all over the world. I think it is the main CIA post in Africa.

Of course the right wing leaning Washington Post would print such stuff. Can we see some varification from another "reliable" source (not Fox news)? One can wonder if what the Post is saying is true than why did someone in the Bush Administration "Out" Wilson's wife. Were they simply being childish or is there really something to what the Wilsons were saying?

WormHatchling,
That article is from 2004.
Classic hatchling strategy. Make claims and sight articles you know to have been proven false. Hope no one notices. If they do, close your eyes, fall to your knees and chant "what would RonnieGod do," until an elevated hatchling comes on TV or radio and channels RonnieGod.
You are an accessory to the International Corporate Fascist takeover of this country. You will be remembered as a cowardly collaborator.

Oh, it this the latest neo-con reality dodge? That Plame and Wilson were "liars"? If you repeat it to yourself 99 times out loud and click your heels, Dorothy, does that make you feel it's any more true?

Exactly what lies? Let's see, Plame was a CIA operative who really was outed by the Bush Administration. Wilson is her husband.
No lies there.

They weren't lying. Iran was apparently buying yellow cake, not Iraq. The Bush administration misled everyone and they are being sued by Valerie Plame Wilson. They destroyed her career and a damage report has been done but will not be released due to the covert activities involved. That report is dated 2004 even before the Libby trial. It shows Iraq was refused yellow cake.
