Depends on the problem and who you pick to share it with, some people seem to think there the only ones with a problem and appear gob smacked if you say you have one, some people don't want to listen and others make it worse.

Sometimes a problem shared, is a problem halved. But other times a problem shared can become a problem multiplied. Use common sense when sharing and make sure you can trust the person before you confide in them.

I guess it matters more how well you work alone vs. working with another person. If two people can work effectively together, then a problem can potentially be halved, though I think It's probably a bit more for one than another.
If the two people have an adversarial relationship, it could add to the problem and make it even more difficult to solve.

it depends on the Problem,as sometimes it can add fuel to the fire..eg family+relationship issues especially regarding kids and parents, sometimes it turns into a mega bitching session, nothing solved there. But sharing to those who take on board other peoples input is always a good thing, some things discussed may be of some help...cheers

Much better keep it, than to share that. You don't know if the person who would largely shared is with you.

I agree. Like rent if it were a "problem" you only have to pay half if you have a roommate.
When you have a problem if you have someone to help then half the burnden is lifted even if they can't really help , I feel better to have someone who cares.

I disagree. Just because more people know about the problem, doesn't necessarily mean it is solved or close to being solved.
