is it un-American to hope for more deaths in Iraq in order to win an election?

You've almost got it right, But the truth is that any good news for America is Bad news for the dems. They want to "win back " the White house. And there is obviously no price too great to pay for this. From Jan 07 the Dem congress has done little that was not an attempt to shame the white house.
Even with the president telling them he would use the veto if this or that was given to him they still decided to go ahead and waste our time and our money. (our would be the American tax payer).
The problem is that they have forgotten that they were elected to govern and not to gain political power. And now even with all indicators that there is a chance for a type of victory in Iraq they still insist we admit defeat. .
Well here is one American who says we have given 25 million Iraqis a chance at freedom, and we need to give that chance a chance to work.

How would it be bad news for Democrats. This simply means we can bring our people home sooner than the Bushies have been saying. How many deaths have been shown on TV? Oh that's right the Administration has kept us from as much of that stuff as possible. Why would anyone want more deaths of Americans in Iraq? To think so shows the stupidity of those making such statements. I suppose if you say a big lie enough times people will believe it so you keep spewing such garbage in the hope, the desparate hope that enough dummies will believe it and vote Republican next year. I think people have figured out what is going on and no such luck.

Democrats have positioned themselves, with the aid of a liberal media, as the anti-war party. Repeated "failure" pounding listeners and readers over the head on a daily basis does nothing but aid in their search for power. As an example, you can probably tell me the number of US solders killed in Iraq up to this point. Or at least give a very close number. But, do you know the number of insurgents that had the same fate ? Most likely not. This is just a small bit of bias giving an impression the we are the only ones dying there. That is enough to make anyone leave in defeat.

Any show of success will damage that fragile framework. Americans faith in their stand for what is right will be regenerated as more successes, or fewer bombs and peace becomes more prevalent. Again, terrorism by insurgents is why this has taken so long. Not that the Iraqi people want us out. They want their own country. Its just that simple.

Its not, unfortunately there isn't any good news. New is news regardless of how good it sounds at the time.
The reality of the situation, is the Shi'ites run the new Iraq government, and they still are going to be Iran friendly regardless of what cards they play so America will keep them safe until their power is solidified.

Your sick twisted logic, only shows how perverted your mentality is, and reveals your hatred for your fellow American.

The only good news that will come out of Iraq, is the news that comes when Americans are no longer dying there.

like maximum folk of politicians Democrats are self serving & in basic terms care approximately preserving workplace. With that pronounced I extraordinarily doubt a "good progression" checklist again out of Iraq in September, look for point headed Repulicans to leap deliver on the President after the Petraeus checklist.

Democrats have built their entire campaign strategy on Quagmire and losing the war. They tried so hard to sink Gen. Petraeus's plan BEFORE giving it a chance.
The Democrat's plan to run against President Bush for the 2008 Presidential election will be in trouble especially if President Bush will speak up and point out to the American public that progress is being made. It is not as if he didn't warn us that the war on terrorism would be a long dragged out effort, little did he suspect that the Democrats would join with the terrorists in an attempt to defeat the USA!

Yes.
Good news for America, is Bad news for Democrats.

Because Democrats have invested everything to help the Insurgents & Terrorists Defeat the US.

We have to fight Terrorists, Democrats, & Insurgents.

Because all they have to hoppe for is the war going badly

Without that they stand no chance

As it is they have very little chance of winning because they will run the most unelectable person in election history, Hillary Clinton

Because they decided that the best thing for them politically was to stand against Bush and "his war." They have stood in the way from the beginning and forced a good for the US/bad for us mentality.

They have been only concerned with getting power and care nothing about the American people.

Democrats have defined themselves as the anti-Iraq party. Using their reasoning, anything that goes badly there points to a need for their leadership. By contrast, if Iraq goes well, they are unnecessary. Therefore, many dems are wishing unconsciously for Iraq to get worse.
