Do you believe there are really people on eBay earning a regular parttime or fulltime income, who do not own a store and are just ordinary schmucks like me?

yea its not as fast and easy as most people portray but its possible. lets say i invest $1000 buying things and sell with a and gain 20% of that i get my money back plus $200. now i can invest $1200 with another 20% i gain $240...so $40 more than before after a while if the market continues like that you'll earn a good sum of money. if you can find something dirt cheap and resell it for alot then profits come quicker but i think 10%-20% is a realistic goal.

anyways you have to learn the ins and outs of ebay and its fees to maximize your profit, also have to be somewhat good at advertising and making whatever you have look appealing, and you have to find something people would want to buy in the first place, you have to be able to compete with similar sells, alot of business aspects....because thats what it is a business

if you dont like taking risks, being your own boss, being responsible for several tasks, organized, or business in general then you'll probably not profit much on ebay.

now dont get me wrong an "ordinary" person can do it, you dont have to be some business tycoon im not...but you gotta know the basics

besides whats said above, a good way to make some money on ebay, is to buy something if bulk, and resell it on ebay as singles. for example i used to sell magic the gathering cards.

its about $90 for a box of boosters, but u i could get buy 4 get 1 free, and since it works out to be like $2something per booster, i could sell them on ebay at $3-4 each make the change off the first 4 boxes, and like $200 off that free box
