Unplug the cord from your power supply. Touch the metal on the case to get rid of any static electricity. There are two white clips at each end of the slot. Push them open and pull the stick out. On your new stick note where the notch on it is and line it up with the bump in the slot on the board. Then, with the end clips open gently push the stick into the slot--keep pushing until you hear a click at each end of the stick of ram. The end clips close themselves when it clicks. You can actually close the end clips by hand when the ram isn't fully seated so make sure you hear it click to insure the ram is fully seated. Thats it--plug your power back in, hit the power button and hope you dont hear "beep beep beep"

IF you are talking about a memory stick, most of the time they just push in and you can then take them out. If you are talking about increasing the physical memory capacity of your computer, thats something different.
