ran into my ex's mom today, I got really close to his family when we were dating. She said how al he goes is party now and how she thinks its this girl who hes dating. And how hes letting it affect his school work and job..He broke up with me by the way. She was telling me how I was the best thing to ever happen to him and best thing for him. I'm not a big partier and neither was he until this new girl. She wants me to talk to him...I dont know if I should. I hate to see someone I care about ruin everything after how hard hes worked, Should I talk to him? i honestly think it wont help and he needs to get this realization on his own. I mean clearly his friends wont say anything because they are the same way and have gotten to him. I just feel talking to him no matter what will be interfering.

It is, you lost the ability to be that in his life. Even before the relationship was over, just the nature of it. And now for you to step in, with out some sort of "righteous truth" that you can lay down, would only be foolhearted. Who are you to say even whats the right way, and what the wrong way for someone to live their lives? Besides, chances were, you were that, his attemp to follow a precieved path of righteousness, of purposfulness, with that failed, he needs to blame you or the path. So your not going to breck him, with out ATLEAST a new way of looking at it. But this isn't your fight to fight, he gave up on you too.... so your moral choice really, its about what your purpose in life is, and what your going to do to fight for that.... personally, I'd let him go, I hate people that can't handle the fight.....
