If i already have insurance for my main car, do i need separate insurance for the Vespa?

Details might vary a little since your Vespa is a moped and not a motorcycle.

You will need insurance and a tag for a motor vehicle in Florida in order for it to be street legal.

You can call your current insurance company and have them add the Vespa to your policy. See your local county tax collector's office for the tag.

Call the DHSMV office near you to see if you need an endoresment (like a motorcycle endorsement) on your license for driving the Vespa.

Helmets are always a good idea, but are not required on motorcyles in Florida for adults; HOWEVER, if you choose not to wear a helmet, then you must carry a high amount of medical insurance.

Yes.
Yes.
Maybe...congrats - you are now a motor vehicle.
Plate and insurance are required; a helmet may be...it's a good idea in any case.
