This subject is very interesting because though some people have said that we are just trying to keep them from getting nuclear weapons others seem to think that we are doing nothing but block a developing country.
My personal opinion on the matter is that if we allow Iran nuclear capabilities, it will be much easier for them to develop nuclear weapons. If that is the point, then they do have terror groups that can be bombing cities like Madrid Spain or even here in the USA. But instead of killing some and injuring others, this is going to be worse than Nagasaki or Hiroshima.
Though Iran may not want any involvement in attacking the U.S. right away, this is the country that chants "Death to America" every week. Some politicians are saying that war may be a possibility, I hope that it doesn't get that far. War would be a drain on the U.S. economy big time. Though it would fill the pockets of the very elite.
Some others that I have talked to have said that it is not our place to decide. We should not be telling another country what it should do. The argument that maybe another cold war would start and thus keeping the world at bay from another world war.

Iran is having a lot of petroleum and Gas resources fot its energy requirements. It has a plan to sell its surpuls natural gas to India through underground pipelines crossing several thousands of kms across Pakistan and Baluchistan.Iran's nuclear programme is obviously not for power generation. It is for creating an Islamic bomb which will be a threat for the entire world.A nuclear bomb in the hands of religious fanatics is a threat for all.
