Specifically in the early 1900s -1940s, was there a curfew in place for Americans ever? If so was it limited to juvenilles or adults as well? Were there fines or arrests for violating it? What time did it start?

I'm very curious to know, but can't find any information. Thanks

Good question. There is some bad history attached to curfews in the U.S. They have mostly been used to keep youths from getting into trouble but have had other purposes.
Black-only curfews existed in many places. It was pure discrimination. Curfews against females existed on college campuses until the 1970's. It may have been for their protection but it would certainly be difficult to defend today.
