I bought an Inspirion 600m around 2 years ago.. About 6 months ago, the video started to stutter, like any DVDs I played, things on youtube, unrelated to that, I got a huge virus so had to reformat my computer, so I installed windows vista ultimate.. now my video card is not compatible with vista, so I can't watch dvds, and things on youtube are still stuttering.. So here's the quesiton, how do I upgrade my video card, like physically, what do I remove and replace for my laptop, and what video card should i install that works for vista and would work on an inspiron 600m??

The problem is, XP wasn't formatting correctly on my computer. Dell would only send the service pack 2, and that didnt have everything on it.. I was supposed to download the rest of the drivers from their website, but i didn't have internet with the service pack 2.. It really was just driving me nuts.. And Dell has really bad costumer service if your warranty has expired.. Oh and its more like a year and a half old, (don't know if that makes a difference... )

You can't upgrade the video 'card' (though you might try getting the latest driver assuming there is one for Vista).

You really should just go back to Windows XP though (Vista is a resource hog that is not going to run well on something 2 years old and the graphics chip in your laptop which can't be upgraded probably can't even use the Vista eye candy).
