Yes very much, but I'm still happy that the red sox won the world series. and even though football is only my second choice in sports, at least I can watch the patriots!

I don't get heavy post-baseball season depression til about mid-February after the Super Bowl and waiting for the basketball tournament/spring training. Then Spring Training is only fun for about a week, and I get really anxious for like three weeks for the season to start.
I just try to stay busy with other things, which isn't hard to do for me recently.

well spring training is something you should start looking forward too, no the games dont count but it gives you a first indication of how your team will look, gives you a chance to see those brand new pieces brought in over the winter
the offseason is awfully long and its hard to handle, but baseball does make its return in february, as a baseball fan you should appreciate spring training
its like the first feeling of a warm sun in mid march after a long cold winter (i live in the midwest so winters are a lot longer than summer) march may not bring summer weather, but its the first taste and its so sweet

It took me a long time to learn that baseball players are human and get sick just like other people. Depression and anxiety disorder are physical illnesses just like the flu or the measles or whatever. In the case of Mr. Votto it may take a trigger. I have suffered from depression and anxiety and it is not fun nor are they using it as an excuse to sit and collection paychecks. It is real.

Yeah, it sucks, but I like football too. The worst time of the year is after the Superbowl and before baseball season starts.

i'm not baseball is so boring nothing happens! Also baseball maybe considered "America's Past Time," but more people like football, and it would be a whole lot more popular if it was a longer season.
Also Soccer is the most popular sport in the world.

For me, its worse than post-holiday depression!
I've been watching re-plays of Red Sox games on MLB.com (I have a membership) but it doesn't even compare to the live games.
I miss it all so much...I miss coming home to a baseball game, I miss rooting for my team, I miss being sad when my team lost & I miss the element of surprise, not knowing how my team was going to do. I especially miss the World Series! I was obviously very happy when the Red Sox won, but after about 3 hours of screaming & cheering for our new 2007 World Series Champions, it hit me that baseball season was over.
April needs to hurry up!

No. With my Sox now world champs again, I've got my eyes on the Super Bowl for my Pats, then I can look down the stretch toward the Celtics being in the playoffs with realistic chances for the first time in at least ten years.

You need to buy an XM radio if you don't have one already. That helps. Also flip through all the DirecTV sports channels and occasionally get a classic game. I'm also already planning my trip to Florida for Spring TRaining - its the only thing that gets me through the winter.
