Tell a white lie, ( I don't feel well, Been PMSing all day). That will give them a legit reason to not feel bad, (who wants to be around you when your PMSing), And they can sympathize with you, (thinking, I should have thought of that!).

I actaully go if I can! I don't wanna waist any of my precious time doing nothing, and I get invited somewhere. No the the people who invited you, should understand how you feel.

Sorry,

But I really need to go. My computer is breaking down! And something strange happened on my Yahoo! Account!

Go and leave early or tell the person that I would love to come but have a prior engagement.

Don't go, & hurt their feelings anyway. They'll get over it, and who knows, they might do the same to you for the same reason. Don't be a "people pleaser". You'll only hurt yourself.

Make up a wicked lame excuse...like "Oh i have my nephews school thing to go to" or "Sorry, but we are having an office party..i have to go, even though i don;t want to, and the boss really wants me there" or " My mom is sick, got to go over and feed her, but ill make it next time"
Good luck pal

Sometimes I go and actually enjoy myself...Other times I call to say I will not be attending but will pop in sometime.

Nothing wrong in, telling a lie for a good cause (read reason).
