I'm one of Michael's very devoted young fans and the reason I'm so devoted is because to me he is the most amazing artist and a very kind giving person. The haters see him as a freaky child molestor but I don't. The allegations were false in my opinion and I don't belive them. The plastic surgery,it's his business, I don't care if he has 20 more surgeries, the baby dangling was obviously not a good choice, but he wasn't even trying to harm the kid in any way. I never saw him through the eyes that the haters see him. I just admire him a lot. I see him for who he really is, not what the media says he is.

Seem to over look it? No, believe it or not, we actually know more about those things than the majority of the general public, we just CHOOSE to disregard those things because we love Michael for his music and his loving heart. The funny part is, that people that don't like Michael, are quick to judge him from those allegations, however if you ask any single MJ fan on here to give a full explination to each one of those things you mentioned, you wouldn't even be able to argue with us about it. Trust me, we have our facts straight, and we don't "Overlook" those issues but we understand that the media has blown each of those WAY out of context and that Michael is not a weird guy. Each of us have our own eccentricities that I'm sure if we were in the spotlight 24/7/365 like he is, then we would look kind of wacko at times too. Remember, Michael is said to be the most well known entertainer in the world. It's easy for the media to blow his every move out of proportion because he's sooo popular!

What is wrong with him? If you are talking about the molestation allegations those were never proven to be true, if you are talking about him having plastic surgery that is his business, the "baby dangling" was blown way out of proportion! Michael Jackson fans are devoted to him because we do not believe everything the media tells us (99% of it is false anyway) but we do know that he is in the Guinness Book Of World Records for the most charities supported and we know that he is the most talented man on the planet! Personally I think Michael Jackson haters are gullible for believing everything that the media says about him!

I wouldn't exactly use the word "devoted" to describe my admiration for "The King Of Pop" but one can't deny his talents both musically and his awesome choreography!!!
I'm capable of separating his being eccentric from well documented snafus. The short military trousers makes one pay attention to his happy feet. His surgeries, simply his choice. Dangling an infant over a balcony, not smart and his Peter Pan obsession, his problem, I guess no childhood.

I can give a historical opinion. I am 56 and had children when Michael Jackson first became popular, I do not condone any proven misbehavior and I try not to judge how he has chosen to change his physical looks, but when he was first popular, with the Jackson 5, his siblings, they were great. They were refreshing and wonderful and sometimes when one gets to know a star when they are "wholesome" it is hard to let go of that first and "good for quite a while" image. I know I was 12 when JFK was shot and we adored him, adored him as a nation, but when I was about 50 and i started watching the releases of the truth about his behaviors, it sickened me so so so !!!!!!! This day and age I would say, never believe any media, good or bad, they are all saying what sells, Greed has taken over the world. You just watch. I am not a bitter old woman but a retired elem teacher who most of her life has given tons of grace, but the world is rapidly changing. those many reward cards you have for stores, do you know why they really want you to use them??????? check in to that !!!!!!

I've no idea why anyone likes him. I don't like his music and have no time for him as a person. There is no doubt, though, that is a couple of apples short of an orchard. And I wonder how many of his 'fans' now would allow their children to go stay with him. They can say what they like about being innocent until proven guilty, but the fact that he offered one child's parents several million dollars to keep a story quiet has a nasty ring to it. If there was no guilt attached to him, why did he not defend his actions in court instead of this payout? As regards the 'baby dangling' would anyone over here be allowed to keep their children after an incident like this? And without Social Services stepping in? He is, without a doubt, one very weird, freaky character.

I thought that the thriller album was amazing and he was an amazing artist not sure that he is now but there have been serious doubts against his good character and his choice of companions. He is a weird guy no doubt about it at all, one thing I think is incredible is that his ex wife Debbie Rowe has stayed tight lipped she must have been paid off to keep quiet.

Well, if you're a fan of something or someone, I suppose you'd rather turn your head the other way when they do do something wrong, and just try to imagine that it never happened.
It's easy to still be 'devoted' to someone, if they never really did anything wrong and their bad publicity is just due to over-imaginative paparazzi - in a fan's opinion, anyway.

Do you know... i was thinking the same thing. It is so wierd but i can't seem to make my mind up about him- is he odd or really honest? I am not a fan but i am not sure if he is as bad as people think. If you are a fan though, you will tend to put on those rose tinted shades when there is any mention of the man who is your idol.
