You just know we're going to find out some day that we have a common ancestor or something (us and dolphins, I mean), but even without that , it is obvious there is more going on with them than your ordinary sea creature. Same for whales. I can't get on board with this practice. Okay, I'm ready, hit me with the cows and chickens we eat in the US, now, but if you do, could you also answer my question about the dolphins?

For me it is not the fact that they kill dolphins for food it is the barbaric way that they do it! They have no compassion towards them and do not care if they are suffering. The same goes for all other animal cruelty in many countries but particularly some of the Asian ones.

Ignorance is bliss. Mahi-Mahi (dolphin) is very popular at Hawaiian luaus.
Just because Flipper was a dolphin and Jaws was a shark does not mean that dolphins are superior to sharks.
Do you eat beef or chicken or tuna or salmon? These come from animals with just as much sophistication and emotion as dolphins.
Those poor people were trying to make an honest living feeding their families and a Hollywood twit ruins their day.

The Japanese eat them.
The Japanese are quite fond of all types of seafood, that we Americans would not eat.
It is another culture, with other ways.
I like my own American culture!
