DDR, DDR2, and DDR3 are all forms of SDRAM. DDR technology was really just a continuation of SDRAM technology, except that the memory was redesigned to allow 1 input and 1 output simultaneously, instead of 1 operation per clock cycle. DDR2 and DDR3, as well as dual-channel technologies, take this concept further.

Basically, if your computer says it takes DDR2 SDRAM, you'll need DDR2. Make sure that you get the correct speed for your machine.

To go along with Who Dares Wins, DDR2 has 240 pins, DDR has 184, and Sdram 168, so you can only use DDR2. The right kind will be found at the site W.D.W. gave you, trust me. You need the right voltage, ram timings, and speed.Double Data Rate2 Synchronous Dynamic Random Access Memory
