-2x + 7y = -10?

y= 0;
x= 5

x+ 6y =5 -2x + 7y = -10

x+ 6y = -10
x = -10 - 6y
5 -2(-10 - 6y) + 7y = -10
20 + 12y + 7y = -15
19y = -35
y = -35/19

x = -10 - 6(-35/19) = -190/19 + 210/19 = 20/19

use substitution method

x+6y=5
-2x+7y=-10

x=-6y+5
-2(-6y+5)+7y=-10
12y-10+7y=-10
19y-10+10=-10+10
19y=0
y=0

x=-6(0)+5
if y=0 then x=5
