i think its strange how we're born knowing nothing and then die with a old body but have a very big soul. it makes me think that this life is just to build our soul and everything that happens makes us who we are.

The world is urtful because we make it like that. Originally, the world was created on goodness. If you look at the world around you, you could appreciate the details of creation: why is the world in colour? Why are there so many varieties of fruits and vegetables? We didn't need that colour, the souns of the birds in the morning, the multitudes of tastes, of panoramas...However the world is ultimately goodness and here to be enjoyed.

So why is there so many difficult things in that world? Why do we see children starving in Africa?
There is enough food and water in this world for all the humans. The world wasn't created in a way that half the world should live while the other half should starve to death. However, foo is concentrated in some regions of the world and it's up to the nations of that part of the world to supply the other half.
Very often difficult things happen to make us better.
It's about how we react and what do we do to make it easier for the one suffering. Yes, it's hard for a cancer patient to die but ultimately he's not suffering, it's up to us however to take care of the widow and orphans and try to allievate the pain.

The first answer is probably right, life's as painful as you make it.

My life so far has been a mixture of good and hurtful. Some I may have deserved, but others just happened.
What there is apart from the world as we kmow it has never been reealed.
Just make the best of what you have.
I wonder where and how everything began. Look at a leaf or a tiny insect. The cleverest scientist on earth cannot make either of them.

I went to go buy my tabloid trash in the supermarket and decided to skim through what the headlines were, I opened it to abuse of animals by this guy in NYC and he is getting a light sentence. It upset me so so so much. I am in Canada I do not know what can be done to change the laws in both countries to make it a longer realistic punishment for a person to commit cruelty against a defenseless animal. I agree with you life is cruel. I try to enjoy my life but I am constantly hit with how bad people are and it is very sad. I try to help and do my best. I have found homes for homeless animals, Ipay for an adopted child in Guatemala, I do my small part. But I am afraid if I knew that guy that abused the animals I would have to go to jail myself as he wouldnt be alive to wait punishment. I cannot get it out of my mind. Just all of us has to do our part.

I agree with Anne Frank: most people are generally good, and she thought this in the face of unspeakable evil. There is evil in this world, but there is more good than evil, and that is what makes life worth living.

the christians, do-gooders, no-gooders, democrats and republicans make this country toilet fodder. consentual activity should not be a crime. it is not the govt.s job to inforce morality or save us from ourselves. it is our right to chose how we live even if we chose badly.

if love is not a sin, then preaceful activity is not a crime.
