I'm making t-shirts for my graduating senior class. we have a design for the front and back that will be on everyone's shirt. but the problem is that we want to put people's names on the back. so we need a quick and effective method to do that. please help

You could either print the names out (in reverse) in that special iron-on paper. Or, for names, it's not worth cracking out the screen printing - instead, make stencils of each name and use fabric paint to paint them on. but for speed, I'd go with the first option...

You can do iron-on transfers using the paper they sell in craft stores, or make a stencil and use fabric paint or dye, or do freehand with fabric paint, markers or dye, or cut letters from fabric and iron them on with fusible interfacing.
