I am utterly amazed that the dreadful HOPE are still in the running.The singing was flat and the performance embaressing.Overall no one stands out as exceptional whereas last year as in previous years it was obvious who would be in the running.

someone asked me 'so whos your favourite this time on x factor' and i was like. 'ummmmmmmmm ..... ummmm.... no one really - the only decent good singers (niki / beverley) wont get an album deal - the only decent looking ones (leon) cant sing ! the groups are either too chav (hope) or too chessy (same difference), theres no class, no talent
the only fellow whos anywhere near good is rhydian but they've gone and made him look like a ghost ....

Until this year I hadn't watched the show, but would like to comment on the girl group, Hope. They are just another girl group, there are loads of these already and if we believe all the hype and the Spice Girls are the best, it doesn't say much for the rest, does it? They got rid of the other group, which were also bad, and I also have to say that there are too many boy groups as well. Give me a good rock band (male or female) anytime. As for the other performers, Rhydian, like him or not, is a tremendous talent. I've said this before, but he makes Elton John look like Noddy in Toyland, he has such style, professionalism and charisma. The two girls, Beverley and Nikki, are also talented. So what does everyone expect, just run of the mill pop singers the like of which we have filling the charts every day? As for Tracy L's comments, does she realise she is committing libel by her comments on the brother and sister? Yahoo could boot her off for comments like that, it was uncalled for, nasty and should not be allowed. Finally, I would say that this competition isn't just to find the next teeny bopper to satisfy all the younger members of the audience, it is to find someone with a touch of class, something that many people that have answered so far don't seem to know anything about. Some of them need to take off their blinkers and realise that their choice in music isn't the choice of everyone. Sorry, I just want to add one little thing about Rhydian, who at first I thought was obnoxious and arrogant. This week he was given a crappy song but his interpretation of it stunned everyone. He is a first class performer and if he doesn't win, I will be very surprised. The other contestants must hate the fact he is on the show.

No,I think out of all the series I have watched I have always though of one of more people that really do stand out and I have no doubt about standing a good chance of winning,but this year Iam really finding it hard,I mean I will give credit where it is due there are a few good acts in there,the rest just seem a bit..well not performing so well,I couldn't even believe we were at the finalist stages,but yesterday I thought was terrible ow hope managed to stay ion over Futureproof I just don't see hop as anything special vocally or performance wise.

No it's not just you Tracy as I have said in a previous answer that this year is the pits as far as talent goes. The only person standing out for me is Niki - she does have talent and I hope she wins it. A big mistake was made bringing in the fourth category and Danni Minogue - it should have been left as it was. This has been proved by the youngest contestants either being voted off or having to withdraw.

I tottaly agree with you with regards to Hopes very poor performence, but lucky for them the others were just as bad.
And yes, it has been an awful year for talent, You can normally spot it a mile away like Leona when she first performed and even will and garath , You can ususally spot talent a mile off and this years talent it miles off..

Yes. The pickings are thin now, you see. Yet Simon Cowell will keep churning these shows out as long as the cash is good.
Same thing happend to American Idol, it really sux now. Idol this year had the most uninteresting group of finalists you could ever imagine and only 1/4 of the original "starting audience" watched the actual finale. I see something similiar happening with X factor. Also, I miss Kate as the host/presenter. The other bloke is quite boring IMO.

I completly agree and have been really disapointed by it. Also am getting sick of the judges blaming bad song choice as reasons - how bout they just cant sing!
I do think that Niki, Beverly and Rhydian are the only ones with even a little bit of talent!

It is one of the worst I have seen normal by now getting excited but only one for long haul and do not shoot me but Rhydian will go on to other things.
I like Beverly and Nikki and that is just about it Hope Simon just wants to market for a fast quid a girl band and we have enough of those if you ask me.

Rubbish the lot of them, nicki about the best.
Hope will win I think because it is all a con, they are marketable, and will give spice girls some competition in the all important money spinning christmas no 1 stakes.
