I heard that too, I would be a lousy caddy and a golfer. It is so much easier to just throw the ball in a hole than hit it with a stick, chase it, hit it again trying to get into that itty bitty hole

Sure. They are called country clubs. You go to see the golf pro, and ask him how much he charges for golf lessons. Unless you retired from some huge company like Microsoft, etc. you will probably not be able to afford them. But if you can, then they will teach you!

People have a lot of ideas about what retired people 'should' be doing. I think it's up to the individual to find something they would enjoy, that keeps them active. Golf would be a good choice, if you think you'd like it. There are local clubs in most areas, go try it out and see what you think. Don't worry about what others think you should be doing.

Retied people aren't supposed to do anything if they don't want to. Many of the retired will have time to play even more golf if they choose to. I don't play golf by a choice of my own. Play golf because you want to not because you're supposed to. There are pros who will give you golf lessons.

You can do anything you want when you retire. My neighbour likes to golf when he isn't working and it is good exercise . Playing with grandchildren is good for you too . Any hobby that is done outdoors or swimming ,tennis ,even walking.
