Typical republican response. Clinton blaming and Jimmy Carter whining. They live in the past. Everything that ever went wrong is the fault of some Democrat. If we want to blame somebody for China's newfound oil demand, why not blame dick nixon? He started making nice with them when Bill Clinton was a college kid. The current price surge has little to do with China, and much to do with the predicted trouble between Turkey and the Kurds, and Bush saber rattling over Iran. Both of these things are a direct result of foolishj administration policies. Rest assured Conservatives would be roaring if this happened when a democrat was in office. Who could ever forget how they whined about Clinton's adventures in eastern europe and Iraq?

i've got self assurance that Bush's damaging legacy would be an administration inspired by greed and skill, yet one that has lied to the final public to an unheard of scale. The assaults on 9-11 probable could have been prevented with extreme movements. yet another observe is what we've not found out: enhance construction codes so as that homes are no longer so services to collapsing if a airplane hits them (in spite of the particular indisputable fact that part of the situation could have been the WTC's particular shape). despite if, the pre 9-11 administration grew to become into unaware of all of this, and the Bush administration constantly professional-lobbyist. we've considered public terror exploited to unheard of scales, and a war on Iraq waged basically for greed. we've considered the U. S. exchange into between the main hated countries interior the international, and between the main fiscalyl irresponsible regimes ever to take presidency. we've considered probable the worst president in historic past.

It’s sad that this administration has put so little focus on developing alternative sources of fuel and energy conservation. Instead, Bush has focused on controlling oil sources, which has plunged us into war and more debt. Bush's legacy is sad one because we have wasted time, effort and money. A substantial change is needed now and 2009 seems a long way off.

Quoting that website is like quoting the national enquirer.

Economists know oil prices are up because Clinton pushed the world into letting China join the WTO. That caused explosive growth in China.

China uses oil for asphalt, for oil emulsions(to stabilize dirt roads before paving ), for gasoline, for jet fuel, for plastic, etc..

Clinton sold out to China ( http://graphics.jsonline.com/graphics/bym/img/mar06/CHINA24g.gif ) by forcing the world to let China into the WTO. Also, Clinton decided to spend hundred of billions by giving medical benefits, food stamps, and social security to foreigners in America. Clinton's website lists that as an accomplishment.

Within 10 years, the trade deficit with China will top $1 trillion yearly. That will seriously slow tax revenue growth. Thankfully, the taxcuts are working to counter the damage Clinton did. This year's budget deficit is the lowest in 5 years due to economic growth which increased tax revenue..

One thing a lot of people don't know is the Democrat National Committee took campaign donations from China. And Clinton secretly gave military secrets to China. That action has put the U.S. at risk for a nuclear missile attack from China. (Two foreigners involved in the case pled guilty and for some unknow reason they were not sentenced to jail.) Also, China secretly helped fund Bill Clinton's legal defense. Democrat politicians don't want the public to know the real facts about Clinton and China. These are just a few of the government documents relating to the Clinton and China.

Everything Clinton did, the REPUBLICAN'S backed OTHERWISE he could not have done ANYTHING.
How so?
They had control of not ONLY congress, but the senate too!
Both parties own stock in oil.Neither of them are doing ANYTHING about oil prices and they arent going to.

I would be able to understand if you would show me the connection. OPEC are the ones who control the oil. Too many have been against deep sea exploration and Alaska for an alternative to energy. They condemn President Bush for the war, then turn around and condemn for sanctions. You cannot have it both ways.
Clinton's enabling of China as usmcho stated, is another story that had nothing to do with this administration.
