The PS3 as far superior hardware as well as being a blue-ray player. However the XBOX does have more games as well as the stopping power of Halo. Still this holiday season should even the playing field as far as games go, any notable titles are coming out on both systems, but the ones that aren't will be out on the PS3. There are certain big name games like Grand Theft Auto, that while they are coming out on both systems, the PS3 versions are larger and have more to do. Also it was brought up earlier about the rumble capabilities, the PS3 has released a Rumbleshock controller which also has the 6 axis feature and will function with all games. The deciding factor for me though was the Blue-Ray, blue ray looks better than HD, and holds more data, the release of the PS3 cemented that. You would pay about $1000 dollars for a Blue-ray player, but u can get it for $400 with a PS3. Therefore I would go with a PS3. Unless you want a system built for now and not the future.

Although I do not own a PS3, I own three Xbox 360's. There are just more games, and better games. As far as online goes, PSN (Playstation Network) is not even half as developed as Xbox Live. I would easily pay $100 per year for Live, but its only $50. There is just so much more to do.

The $400 PS3 is a joke. It has most of the major features stripped, and is not worth buying. If you are going ot buy a PS3, I would suggest finding the origional 60 Gig model for $500, it is a much better deal considering you get backwards compatibility and much more.

In the end, I would suggest getting a 360, but if you choose a PS3, get the $500 60 Gig model. Hope this helped.

Oh my god, You just found out that the PS3 has free online play! The PS2 even had free online play.

After hearing you talk about the price, I think that you didn't like the PS3 just because the price was higher, but that's no reason to dislike the PS3 just because it costs more.

And as for games, the PS3 is better in games even though it doesn't have as many out, but the PS3 does have more exclusives on the way, and exclusive games for a console are very important.

The Xbox 360 is good for shooters and multiplayer games, but the PS3 is the better console in terms of reliability, variety in game selection, and technology.

360 ss better. PS3 has mostly and mainly demos out. Not many games are available yet for the PS3. you have to wait for a full version of a ps3 game for awhile. The controller sucks now too cause it no longer has vibrations, feels lifeless. PS3 has mainly all the feautures of a PSP. the great thing is, yeah, the blu ray.

360 for the win. XBOX LIVE RULES, around 1 million gamers from more than 50 countries are playing, right now.

yes xbox live costs, but not that much, 49 bux for full year! or 7 bux for a month.

halo3 is 360 exclusive, along with other great games.
