The box says you can cover with a towel, but my husband says you need to wash everything. Is this true? Is it dangerous to eat on the dishes afterwards? Also what about open boxed foods in he cabinets?

Clean everything and throw out opened boxed food that was in the house unless you put it in a sealed plastic container or in the frig.
