I love Trance/Dance/House music. Throughout the world, especially in Europe it's extemely popular but apparently here in the U.S. its not. Artists like Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, Kaskade, etc. are famous throughout the world and this type of music dominates clubs in Europe. However, it doesnt here. The reason I compare us to Europe is because we are ethnographically very similar (most of the country being Euro descent and all). So I guess I would like to know why is it that Hip Hop and rap are so prevalent here and why it's the preffered music to dance to rather than trance?

I'm just sick of going to a club and hearing about "supermaning a hoe" instead of good, sophisticated music.

because by population size, the majority or at least the loudest are blacks, and their music and culture has then become dominant in American culture. and having MTV with a black lady as the owner helps propagating black music in American culture and amongst American youths.

Dance Music genres like House, Trance, and so on, are doing decently well in the United States if you look beyond normal pop culture outlets. Ignore the cable music TV channels (like the crappy MTV & VH1) and ignore typical pop FM radio.
These music genres are often listened to via internet radio, digital cable radio or satellite radio. Both Sirius and XM each have at least 3 dance music channels. (In fact, I've read that XM's main dance channel is one of their highest-rating stations.)
Also, go to the clubs...most good ones will play House & Trance instead of pop, rock or hip-hop.
Even when shopping for music online, you should probably avoid the mainstream sites like itunes or whatever...and go to Beatport or PerfectBeat instead.

Why isn't Dance Music bigger in American mainstream pop culture though? There's no telling. American youth aren't exactly the most open-minded in the world...the European youth definitely are known better for that. And American culture just isn't very progressive overall. It's sad really.

I'm no longer into clubs, but if I were, I'd rather hear Trance.

But otherwise, Trance is boring to hear on the radio.

Two-Step Garage works as both good club music and for the radio; too bad that never caught on here.

partly because of the fact lots of people have their heads buried in too lots Rock and Heavy steel track and that i do unlike Rock and HATE steel! a similar form of ingredient can actual be reported for usa and Jazz as nicely! lots of (very ignorant) individuals hate usa and Jazz for some extremely extraordinary reason and that i've got honestly no concept why! I mean, are human beings honestly STARK-RAVING MAD that they actually prefer crappy Heavy steel to genres like usa, Jazz, Techno and Trance?!? (i will't take no for answer) i think of this because of the fact steel is trash and usa, Jazz, Techno and Trance are lots extra beneficial! I in specific situations think of that we live in some form of backwards universe the place solid track is hated and undesirable track is enjoyed!

I'll admit. I love trance.
Who knows? Americans are obsessed with hip hop culture and music right now.

Trance? I'm 15 and I have NEVER heard of this. I also don't know any of the people you have named. I doubt this 'trance' will catch on soon.
