If, for some particular angle θ, sin θ < 0 and cos θ > 0, in what quadrant must θ lie? What is the sign of tan θ?

remember this

quad 1 = all positive
quad 2 = sin and csc positive
quad 3 = tan and cot positive
quad 4 = cos and sec positive

so for sin < 0 and cos > 0 the angle must be in quad 4 so tan is negative

look up sin, cos of 0, 90, 180, 270 degrees
then see which meet the conditions given
check by using an angle in that segment
then check that segment for tan

sorry, I dont have a calculator that does angles . :(
