Even though the chances of an actual shooting is small, I don't think any reasonable parent would be mad at you for not going to school. Certainly if the writing targeted particular people or had a motive in mind, I would not take any chances - perhaps pretend to go to school but end up hanging out at a shopping center or park nearby. Does the principal know about this? Recommend to your principal that they call the police and take a picture of the writing, and find a forensics expert who might be able to match that writing on the stall with a student's writing - the teachers probably can find written assignments with similar writing.

That's happened in my suburban high school about a thousand times; we've been on emergency lockdown once and lockdown a couple of times. It's never actually happened, but I don't really know about your school.
Try telling your parents how you feel about this situation like you kind of did here, and don't make it seem like you're staying home just because you want a day off. You could say, "Mom and/or Dad, there's been a threat at our school. I would feel safer if I could stay home tomorrow..." Then list the reasons you have, like the fact that you can't drive and that the teachers too are scared. (Because the teachers in my school have never taken such a threat seriously.)
Then e-mail me to tell me if you are still alive.
Good luck.

Usually things like that are a hoax. If you look at all of the school shootings that have happened, there was no explicit warning like what you are describing. If it is written on a wall somewhere, then it is probably just someone trying to create trouble. I wouldn't worry about it, but if you are that worried, just tell your parents and they'll probably let you stay home. Better safe than sorry. If they still won't let you stay home, just get dropped off at school and don't go inside, just leave (yes, I'm telling you to skip school, but it's for a good reason). It's either be safe and avoid possibly getting shot by skipping school, or risk being shot by going to school. It's only for one day anyway. But like I said, I wouldn't worry about it at all. I am 99% sure it's some stupid hoax. Just go and don't worry about it.

We had this program at school called Rachels Challenge. It was about the first person who was shot at Columbine and how she wanted to change the world. Anyway, it freaked most of the students at my school and rumors started flaring that someone at our school was going to shoot up the place. Eventually it all died down. The administration had no idea. But to make sure, tell the counselors and make sure they do something about it. It wolud now tell my parents what was going on and admit that i was scared. Good Luck!

Have your parents call the school to see if the "rumor" is indeed true. If there was "writing on the wall" and if anything has/will be done to ensure the students/staff well being. It doesn't matter if you are in a rural/city/suburban school a shooting can happen anywhere.

You don't stay home. Fear will consume you if do.
Trust me "bathroom walls" seldom say the truth.
Its just a place to "vent" your anger.
Have you parents call the school and find out just how serious the matter is and exactly what are the processes for such.
Good luck.

I wouldn't take any chances. Call the school and ask for verification on this claim. If they refuse, stay home from school. It could be completely false, but whoever wrote it will get in serious trouble.

have the authorities or school administration been contacted? Tell your parents the truth and that you are nervous about going to school. Nowadays people take these things very seriously. so at least make sure the principal or somebody is aware.

It probably is not real and is somebodies silly and sick joke.
I would not take a chance though and not go to the school. Your parents are just as interested in your safety as you are. You should also trust their judgment.

Umm... it is not sturdy to write on bathing room partitions, via fact the unfavourable custodians continuously could scrub them off. And there are no cameras in bathing room stalls! that must be so perverted and incorrect!
