Try asking this question to a true loyal soldier and most will say they are doing what is right ,those brave men and women are on the front lines putting there lives on the line so the likes of you can spout off your crazy rants of WMD but we all know other countries back then thought there were wmd`s even most of the Dems thought there were wmd`s as well, the likes of you and those that like the conspiracy theories that Bush was behind 9/11 , time you all stop listening to those crazy left wing site driven by Soros , Soros could buy a president and he won`t buy the next one either.
And no the soldiers never died in vain they laid there lives on the line for nuts like you to shoot your mouth off.

In December, 1999, the previous U.N. weapons inspection team was replaced by resolution 1284 and the new team, UNMOVIC - this resolution was later rejected by Saddam. Prior to their departure, this team had located and destroyed 48 long range missiles, 30 chemical war heads, 40,000 chemical munitions and 690 tons of chemical agents.
Even Scott Ritter, after 7 years as chief inspections officer, in an extremely critical press release concerning the U.S.'s intended invasion, admitted that even though they had located and destroyed laboratories, production equipment and tons of the agents produced, he could not confirm that Saddam no longer possessed any other chemical arsenals. Even Saddam's own troops believed Iraq had WMD's, as well as the majority of the world's intellegence agencies. Hell, even the democrats in the Congress believed it - and voted accordingly.
After the events of 9/11, it seems likely that it would have been pretty damned fool hardy to ASSUME that Saddam didn't have any chemical arsenals that would inevitably have funneled their way into the hands of terrorists.
20/20 hindsight is always a great aid in criticizing the decisions that were made at the time, but, unfortunately, it's not available when the tough decisions have to be made.
No, the soldiers have not died in vane - they have died trying to end an ideology of hatred and domination. An ideology that must not be allowed to slaughter any more innocent victims with impunity.
No one lied - not the President and not the members of Congress - they did what they felt at the time was the best policy to insure the safety and security of American citizens.
Wrong policy? Wrong battle field? Perhaps, but one thing is for sure, the United States could not continue its previous policy of inaction and no effective response - these policies only resulted in more terror attacks and more innocent victims and arguably culminated in the events of 9/11.

Despite any lie; or error, through a real Justice system and practice of individual rights--in an imperfect human form (meaning mistakes or errors), no one has died in vain, imho.
If there are issues; they should be addressed.

Yes US soldiers died in vain ,
But died of the other side are also Human Beings , or not?
So the burden of all killings goes to USA , Not only Bush&Co:,
And Results of Both Afghanistan & Iraq Wars are "Half Measures" ,
Still USA have perhaps much Pressure to Attack Iran ,
And how can USA forget the "evil behind the axis of evil" , Pakistan ?
So please don't be worried about the Body Bags ,
Try if you can prevent USA to produce more battle fields , in The Best US intrests ,

Well, there's always the new BS reason of the month!
So many excuses...now we're suddenly fighting against an enemy who wants to come into our homes and murder us because they hate our freedoms...okay...but I just cannot follow our President's messages to the American people anymore. Everything he says now is just intermingled with so many untruths and exaggerations.
Yes- history, if nothing else, WILL show that soldiers have died in vain. The Bush administration knows this now, and fortunately most of the USA does as well.

Yes. Every American soldier that died in Iraq died for nothing.
That should make the douchebags that voted for Bush twice feel really good about themselves.

Yes, absolutely! The terrorists didn't come from Iraq, no WMDs were found, the reports were all lies and Iraq couldn't even defend itself!
Dying for a lie sucks, doesn't it!
