File a notice in the paper giving thirty day notice and if no response then u can file for divorce. The child support agency can flag his social security number so when he applies for a job they will automatically file an order for the deduction of child support. GOOD LUCK

Yes, depending on which state you reside in, the processes are similar. You file for divorce with his last know address in your Court of jurisdiction. When service cannot be made by mail or when you can't find him despite your best efforts, you can petition a Domestic Relations Court to have him served through publication. Typically, publication is done through a local newspaper with proper legal notices. In Ohio, if you and your husband have lived separate and apart for more than one year that is grounds for divorce alone.

You've hired a private detective, have you? That's your next step, because you'll have to show the court that you made every effort to find him. If the private detective can't find him, then you can request the court to annul your marriage or grant you a divorce on the basis of abandonment (he abandoned you,not the other way around).

I know it is also a long time but I also believe after 7 years they consider him dead. Also I know for a fact that here in Washington state all they need is his SSN and they can track how much he makes from month to month. Unless he is self employed but he has to file taxes. It would be worth your while to hire a private detective to find him.

You can still get divorced. The courts will have you put an ad in the newspapers alerting him of the pending divorce. This is the only legal way.

It would be expensive, but you could hire someone to find him and serve him the papers! It's not hard for a good detective to find anyone.
