Okay, I'm a good student. Mind you, I'm not super fantastic but I'm smart, no doubt. During my freshman year of high school I think I just sort of stopped caring- I'm not really sure what happened. And I took this Journalism half-year course and the teacher gave me two D's. At the end of my freshman year my GPA was a 3.13. Right now, in me Junior year and at the end of my first quarter I have a 3.5 since I got nothing below a 4.1 -3.9 GPA for each separate 9 weeks during sophomore year. It helped out my GPA a lot but I'm still worried.

I only have three more grading periods and then I have to start applying for college. I want to go to the Uni. of Pittsburgh but I don't know if I can get in because of 9th grade.

My SAT score is in the 1800's without studying if that helps.

And I do a lot of community service and school clubs and activities. Also, do you think I could qualify for any scholarships?

Does anyone think I might be able to get into Pitt? Or it's pre-med program ?

By the end of my sophomore year I had a 3.46 and the report cards haven't come in for this 9 weeks year but I did wall this quarter too.

Pitt's minimum GPA requirement is a 3.6 I know that. And I'm a minority so I'm thinking that might help me out.

Pitt gives less information than do most colleges on the College Board's site, but they do say that only 43% of their admitted students are in the top 10% of their graduating classes, and that they admit 56% of applicants, which is not very selective. You may have a good chance. On the SAT, they don't give total scores and apparently don't count the writing score, but they give 560-660 as the range of the middle 50% of their admitted students on both critical reading and math. This is what they say they are looking for:

Very important admission factors:
Class Rank
Rigor of secondary school record
Academic GPA

Important admission factors:
Standardized Test Scores

Considered:
Character/Personal Qualities
Application Essay
Extracurricular Activities
Geographical Residence
Racial/Ethnic Status
Recommendations
Talent/Ability
Volunteer Work
Work Experience

You might be able to. If you can show them that you've been a leader in one of your clubs or activities, that would be a plus for your application.

If they require a teacher recommendation, get it done by a teacher whose class you do very well in (the closer the subject is to what you want to study in college - which for you, the closest would be biology).
-I have a similar feeling about one of the colleges I'm applying to, got my french teacher (french is what I want to study) to write the recommendation, and now I'm not nearly as concerned.

Breastfeeding is definitely well worth it, i'm SOO happy that I caught it out and did it. you will have the skill to as long as you do no longer provide up. it extremely is a few distance confusing nevertheless, I won't lie! My lady offspring does no longer latch on in the commencing up, which brought about sore dry cracked nipples and undesirable discomfort, yet i did no longer prefer to grant her formulation so I saved attempting. (for the discomfort and discomfort I used this ointment referred to as "Lansinoh kind Lanolin" it helped plenty and the latching on difficulty replaced right into a area referred to as "the shelter" which replaced into provided from the scientific institution) It took notably much 2 months formerly she replaced into in a position to breastfeed effortlessly and that i'm greater desirable than happy that i did no longer provide up. there replaced right into some situations too that i thought I wasn't generating sufficient milk for her through fact I pumped and wasn't getting plenty yet I spoke with my Dr. and my infant replaced into very healty and weighed what she replaced into meant to. i think of the difficulty replaced into that the pumps do no longer grant the comparable stimulation that the child sucking does so my milk did no longer are available in like it did while i replaced into feeding her. So don't get discouraged! i've got not got any discomfort now or issues. i understand approximately 10 women that had babies around the comparable time I did and NONE of them are breastfeeding. :( all of them have one hundred excuses why yet i understand that they simply did no longer have the endurance for it. good success with it nevertheless, and that i understand you will no longer be apologetic approximately it as quickly as you experience how amazingly close you get and how good the bond is between you and your infant. :)
