The pound coin still exists and long may it do so. Bloody euros. I have a load of pound coins in my daughter`s piggy bank, I have one of the British Queen`s coat of Arms (with a lion and a unicorn). And I managed to find one with three lions on it. I wouldn`t mind sending you one. What`s your address?

The one pound coin still exists as the UK does not use the Euro. If you do not plan to visit the UK to get one, or know no-one who has been there and brought back some coins who might have one to give you or sell , you could try a dealer in coins or a hobby shop which also sells coins and banknotes.

Great Britain or I should say it's people voted down the use of the Euro. You can try www.therosesworldcoins.com, they are well know. You can also try www.eddsmithcoins.com,www.gbccoins.com and www.joelscoins.com ( Joel Anderson is also well know) I got these address from World Coin News and have done business with Joel and the Rose's, but you are on your own. Most mail order is okay but there is always something that can go wrong, and I don't want the blame if it ever happens.

I don't think you can, most Exchanges only exchange paper money. However the following shops accept Euros in payment for goods. Marks & Spencer John Lewis WH Smith Dorothy Perkins Top Shop Evans Miss Selfridges Wallis Tie Rack Dixons British Gas Inland Revenue Harrods Body Shop Selfridges Virgin General Accident British Telecom

Um..one pound coins are not hard to get hold of. I live in the uk so I use them all the time. If you want one, why don't you go to an airport, then you can go to the exchange bureau thingy or just ask any British tourists to give you one in exchange for a couple of dollars.

We aren't with the euro in England, so pound coins are pretty common! You'd best come to England my dear :-)
