4 months old. My friend was blowing gum bubbles at her, and the popping sound made her laugh out loud. Now she laughs at anything, even when on her own she'll find something to laugh about, which then has me in fits. Don't worry, it'll come all of a sudden, and then you won't be able to stop it.

I'm not sure what exactly you term as laughing out loud, but my 11 week old giggles and laughs a breathy laugh (not a loud, full laugh) at a lot of things. I guess she first did it around 2 months, and as for what triggered it, it was just me singing a silly song with lots of rhymes. She laughs a lot when she's getting lots of face time.

My daughter was a little over 2 months old. I remember because it was her 2 month check-up. The doctor had a hold of both of her legs, and was pushing them into her chest to test muscle development. As soon as her little knees touched her belly, she let out this huge laugh. It even stunned the doctor! She said that usually babies cry during that part.
I laughed so hard I cried!!!

i dont have kids... but, i have a little sister, ma'am. She laughed when she was first 2 months old. What made her laugh was when my mom was cooking dinner. My dad came, and sniffed the dinner. Then, he fakely fainted. My little sister laughed TERRIBALLY loud! As if she understood what just happened! So, we ALL started laughing at the unexpected foolishness. It was a day that i NEVER dropped.

My son was a preemie (Almost 3 months early) so instead of being 4 months, he was 2.5 months corrected age. It was The day before New Years and I was making faces and noises at him.
