Surprises are often good.
Gift Certificates are great ... I tell people what are my favorite book stores, restaurants, and sometimes I get gift certificates good for those places.
They all know that I am a book a holic.
Actually we do a lot of book trading and talking about great books we recently read.
Do you have any favorite charities? You can tell people what they are, and people can then make a donation "in your name" which I think is a really nice gesture.
You could tell people that you have a savings account ... name the bank, in which you collect interest there, until you find something you really want to buy.
My parents told me that for every $ 10.00 I managed to put into that account, they would add a matching sum of $ 5.00, because they wanted to encourage my savings. The only restriction was that if I wanted to do a withdrawal, they had to approve what it was for, or else not be able to access the matching funds.
After my grandparents learned about this, they did matching funds also.
Is it safe to ride a bike around your neighborhood? Do you want one? When I told my family I was considering buying a bike from my savings account, they got very interested in making sure I could afford all the safety features, like I did not skimp on safety helmet, because I was budgeting all that I could on the best bike my money could buy.
Tell people what you use your computer for ... what kinds of stuff you like to do with it ... maybe there's software that would work on it to do things you never dreamed of, but would be fun to do.
Have you ever been to the Zoo, Planetariu, Museums, tourist attractions, Coney Island? I don't particularly care for Opera or Theatre, but I know this because I have tried out the various different things ... like going to the top of the tallest building, swimming underwater, trying out different things to find out what I like, don't like.
I suggest you ask for the family to do an outing in one of those tours, where you ride all over your home town, and the tour guide points out the sights. Take notes ... wow, I want to come back some time & spend more time there.
When I am on vacation, or on a business trip, I like to visit the infrastructure of other cities ... what's their Zoo like, what's their public library like, ride the subways ... is this a place I would like to live and work.
I have found that different cities have very imaginative and different Zoos and Museums, really cool places to visit, Several cities have a restaurant that rotates on the top of a tall building. It takes an hour or so to go all the way down. So you sit down to the meal, looking out the window, and over time, the whole city rotates for you to view. Those places tend to be a little pricy.
But the name of the game here is to ask for help getting you exposed to the culture history entertainment etc. of your community. You are still of an age that you can get into a lot of these places at half price, but you need an adult to take you along.

You can ask your family to spend one day together helping out in a soup kitchen for the poor. It really makes a big difference and you will feel better. You can continue to do it even after the holidays end.
You could help out in a nursing home.
You could choose people from the angel trees.
You could help out an orphanage by donating new/used clothing, toys, games, and books.
There are lots of people who barily have any family or who have no family at all, who just want to be a included in the holiday season. They are usually alone and have very little income to spend on Christmas including on food.

Tell your parents, You would like to have a nice family
relationship, with a nice christmas Dinner. and to be happy.
I am a Christian, But with all the commercialism. Many people
have forgotten, what Christmas, really is.
It is not in the "recieving." It is in the "giving."
One Christmas two years ago. I knew someone personally,
who I knew was not going to have a Christmas at all. It
didn't matter if they were Christion or not. They was going to
be without, any proper meal at all.
I went to the grocery store and bought them a hundred and
fifty dollars worth of food, and dropped it off at their house
unexpected, so they couldn't say "no."
And that was my best Christmas ever.
So tell your parents, you want a hundred dollars, the week
before Christmas, and shop, I am sure someone, may
need that extra Ipod, even if it is used. You have so much,
and so many have "lost everything," this year. ():-})>{+

You should ask something that you love to have, Of course! But it sounds like you have most cool things that 13yrs old wanted to have and most importantly it seemed you have family loves you. How much you love to spend time with your family? I guess you can ask a ticket to visit to the New York Natural History Museum. I've been there ones, it is truly a wonderful place, besides memories lasts lifetime. You will remember your loved ones took you to NY for long time unless you live there now. Clothes are cool, but there are more important things. This is just my opinion.

Ask them for a credit card that way you can buy yourself those sneakers and jacket. All you have to do is make an arrangement with them on how much you can spend on the card and POOF! Perfect present

just tell them you want the shoes and jacket, that sounds easy enough, the rest of them can just give you money, and you can save it or buy something you really like later on. or perhaps a guitar, or camera, or some really good movies, it really depends on what interests you, so it's hard to know. i made my 12 year old write me a list of the things he wants so i will have a good idea of what to get him, he is so hard to buy for. the other 2 younger kids are so easy to buy for, i think your stuck at that age where you don't like toys anymore but your too young for adult things too, it's a hard age, plus you seem to have a lot. good luck on that one.

Hey! Vincent R, take some advice from Vince M. Ask for what you want. It really doesn't matter. You'll either get it or you won't, but if you don't tell them when you ask, how will they KNOW what you want.
Pardon me, while I THUNK you on the back of the head.
I'm allowed to do that because we have the same first name.

Since you seem to have a lot of cool stuff already, you should ask people to donate money in your name to a charity. You're never too young to support a good cause!

Wow, you sound very lucky. Hm. Ask for some dvds to watch some movies or a dvd player if you don't have one. If you're into video games ask for some. Or ask for gift cards to your favorite store.
